The Chambal Safari Lodge is an eco-lodge owned by the Singh family and is set within 35 acres of land surrounded by the family’s farmland. The accommodation structure comprises of a few cottages, all of which has modern amenities and open out to verandas with views of the farmlands. The lodge kitchen serves authentic home-cooked buffet meals prepared with freshly grown produce from the farmland and other local farms with the meals served in the garden or dining rooms. Hot beverages are available at the main garden throughout the day and mineral water is complimentary and available on request.

At the Chambal Safari Lodge guided tours take place mornings and evenings to explore the lodge grounds and surrounding countryside to see various wildlife species and plants. Visitors can also take short walks through the village where local craftsmen showcase their work.

The Dhikala Forest Lodge sits in the dense Sal Forest of Corbett, within the Dhikala Zone. This section, also known as the Dhikala grasslands, has mixed forestry and a wide variety of flora. The lifeline of this zone is the Ramganga River that supports the area and adds to its ambiance.

The Dhikala Forest Lodge has a range of guest rooms providing comfortable accommodation. There are 2 canteens providing buffet meals throughout the day. Guests staying at the lodge selects a Dhikala tour package to explore the Dhikala Zone as well as the rest of the Corbett National Park.

Summary & know before you go:
A fairly basic lodge managed by the forestry department but within the National Park.  It is the only accommodation within the park that has electricity (and even that is erratic).  The location is good being on the bank of the Ramganga River and next to the grasslands – so there are ample opportunities for wildlife viewing.  The simple restaurant served vegetarian meals.  Alcohol and meat consumption is prohibited inside the reserve.  The rooms do have attached toilets.  Guests staying at this basic accommodation will be accompanied by our agent’s driver and a naturalist and be supplied with toiletries, linen, a torch plus drinks and snacks.
